Trying To Quit Smoking? Don't Start With Chantix, Say Some Experts - - TIME Healthland

Trying To Quit Smoking? Don't Start With Chantix, Say Some Experts - - TIME Healthland:

"I'm for smoking cessation," he says, a former smoker himself. "But with a benefit so disappointingly low, and adverse effects that are piling up — blackouts, aggression, heart events, suicide and depression — the bad things outweigh the small good effect of the drug. So what we are saying is we should restrict its use."

Restrict it's use?
I can't even imagine they would recommend it's use for anything ever.
I know many people who have tried to quit from chantix/champix and were in worse shape after.I can't fathom why these people still say it can be used.
Oh wait ,yes I can, after all it's just smokers.

  1. I can not tell you how much I agree and how much doctors are pushing this dangerous drug. While many drugs have side effects that many who take them don;t get, with Chantix, every person I know who tried it had to go off it in 2 weeks as the side effects were so terrifying. One woman wanted to kill her kids. Very scary. If you want to quit fine, but when I smoke at least I know how it makes me feel and that I am not going to start hallucinating any minute. LOL People who feel anything can be fixed with a drug are simply supporting bif Pharm companies who make up diseases to sell you the "CURE"

  2. I agree.I think it's disturbing that a drug with such horrendous side effects is being thrown at people who smoke.
I know people who have used chantix/champix that are still damaged from the experience, years after it was first used.
